Check your ROI

Even if you only invest time in your business, you’re doing so in order to make a profit.  A business is not a business if its objective isn’t to make money at the end of the day.  However, all too many business owners wind up spending every wakened hour at their desk, only to discover well into their journey that they’re not making a return on their investment.

I’m no accountant, but I know that even in my service business that I run from home, my turnover isn’t my most important figure.  Yes, it’s important, but I need to know the net result of what I’m doing on a regular basis, otherwise I could end up a busy fool.

It’s important that you find your own method (ideally in conjunction with your accountant), but worst case scenario, you should scrutinise your results at least once a month.
