Avoid the temptation to go it alone
Business can be lonely. When things are going well, it mightn’t seem that way. But if things take a turn for the worse, or the waters become a bit choppy, the weight of being 100% responsible can become very heavy, very fast.
That’s why it’s a great idea to have a buddy in business. Your buddy can be your mentor, an advisor, someone whose point of view you respect. It doesn’t really matter who it is, as long as they’ve experienced running a business, you admire them and they’re not afraid to call a spade a shovel.
The right business buddy will challenge you and push you to your limits before you to out to the market with a harebrained idea and embarras yourself. They’ll pick you up when you’re down and they’ll save you from burdening your friends and family with stuff that should be kept in context.
