Give your website the once-over

If your website is an important link in your promotional or sales chain, it’s essential that you don’t neglect it.  It never ceases to amaze me how much people invest in their website at the start and then leave it to get tired and rusty as the months and years pass.  If your website plays an important role in your success, I’m begging you not to do this.

At the end of the day you wouldn’t leave a physical High Street shop window in a tatty or uncared for state, so don’t do it to your website.  As an absolute minimum, make sure your images are nice and fresh; that your key, buyer-focused message is above the fold; that you’re easy to contact and that you have great calls to action.  And then, go and check out your site’s performance, mobile-friendliness (essential these days), SEO and security – you can do all that for FREE here.  Go on, do what you need to do – and don’t forget to instal and get comfy with Google Analytics while you’re there.
