A tidy desk = A tidy mind
If you’re constantly distracted by something that’s lying on your desk, the task you’ve got in hand is likely to take a whole lot longer than it should.
It’s worth asking yourself if you could work with a clear desk. I started on this approach on 1st January and it has upped my productivity significantly. For the last couple of months, I’ve made a point of only having what I’m currently working on lying on my desk and my focus and attention has increased way beyond what I imagined it could.
I’m quite disciplined anyway, so went into this clear desk approach a bit skeptical, but the results are so surprising, that I’m now applying a similar approach to other areas of my life.
