It’s time to
Flex Your Business Muscle

Has lockdown left you feeling more nervous about your business model than you were before?

Are you wondering if your business will even survive the knock on effects of lockdown?

OR do you see lockdown as a great opportunity to work ON your business rather than IN it?

If you can answer YES to any of these questions, the Flex Your Business Muscle 12-day Challenge is for you.

What’s it all about?

The idea for this challenge came about after hearing about how lockdown was affecting my clients and their businesses.

Many had been forced to close their bricks and mortar premises and think of another way of delivering. Some already had a small online delivery channel and worked hard to pivot and develop that. Others saw forced lockdown as the ideal opportunity to address the strategy issues that they never got time for before.

The challenge is designed to help people in all of these situations and probably a few others.

A helping hand

The new and unpredictable future we’re facing is challenging and a bit scary, but it’s also filled with opportunity – we maybe just can’t see it yet.

If you’re needing to pivot or change your business model or are starting up a new business thanks to COVID-19, this challenge is for you.

It provides you with a range of tools and strategies to help you see your business or startup in a different light and enable you to make smart, informed decisions about the best way forward.

Take the challenge

This challenge is an online programme that gives you the chance to work ON your business, in a structured, accountable way at low cost (free to you fabulous founders) at a time of the day that works for you.

During the Flex Your Business Muscle 12-day Challenge you’ll get a range of tools and strategies to help you re-visit and re-consider everything from your business model, to your target market, your value proposition, your reach out strategy and a whole lot more.

What will you get?

At the end of the challenge, you’ll have a crystal clear view of where your business is now, where it could be and a good idea of the steps you need to take to get there.

You’ll get a toolkit of tried and tested tools and strategies that you can use over and over again when new opportunities arise or when you need to pivot.

You’ll be part of a community of like-minded people and you’ll be asked to do some uncomfortable things that you may have been putting off. Once they’re done, the skills you learn could make a world of difference to your opportunities.

How does it work?

What to expect

The first thing I want to say is that this challenge is neither a magic wand nor a replacement for one-to-one consultancy. It’s an opportunity to take a structured, accountable approach to looking at your business. It removes the noise and confusion of trying to do all this alone. It encourages you to look at your business from a different angle, with different eyes.

It pulls together a whole array of traditional and digital marketing and communication tools and strategies and makes them accessible. If you stick with it, you’ll get value from it. And the best thing about working this way is that you have a community of like-minded people around to help and inspire you.

If you invest fully, when you’ve completed the challenge, you should have a completely different mindset about your business. Your vision of and for your business should have changed and you’ll have a toolkit that you can dip into over and over again as your business changes and develops.

How much time you'll need to set aside

There are 12 core steps in the challenge. Each step is made up of a range of short videos, an exercise and a Facebook task.

Some people will find certain steps easy and others more difficult, which will impact on the time it takes. However, I reckon if you invest an average of 1 hour a day to the challenge, you’ll be well on your way to making your business stronger and better at the end.

I’m sure you have your own strategy for doing stuff like this, but for what it’s worth, I’d approach it like this.

First I’d watch or listen to the videos (they’re designed so you don’t need to sit and look at the screen if you don’t want to), then I’d look at the tasks on the worksheet. After that I’d go for a walk or grab a coffee and let it all settle in my head.

As ideas arise, I’d note them down and I’d complete the worksheet only when I felt pretty clear on what I wanted to do/say/commit to (commitment is only to yourself).

The key to getting real value from this process is committing 100% but not sweating it. Inspiration won’t come by copying and pasting an old (dusty and probably useless today) business plan just to get the job done or from sitting at a desk pouring over it. Inspiration that results in real change comes letting the right information go in, find it’s comfy place in your mind and then letting your creative juices flow.

When it comes to the Facebook challenge, my advice is stolen from that great brand Nike. Just Do It. We all have 1M+ ideas why we think we look crap on photos and come across even worse on video. Inside my head, I’m gorgeous, but I know that photos and video just don’t see things in the same way do ;). The reality is, losing one of those chins; letting your Coronavirus home haircut grow out (you know who you are 🤣); getting your roots done or having the right kit isn’t what this is about. It’s not about how you look, it’s about you. It’s about being authentic and real, adding value to people’s lives by sharing your knowledge and experience. That’s what those people give a dam about, not what you look or sound like. And, the best bit is, if you can master this, you’ll open up a whole new world of opportunity for your business.

Get started

There’s a maximum of 12 places on each challenge. That way everyone taking part gets maximum value. You’ve all committed to going the distance and that makes me feel incredibly humbled and grateful. Thank you.

To start the process, please go to bottom of this page and pop your details in the form. NOTE TO FABULOUS FOUNDING GROUP – the form’s not pretty, but the real one will be. When you’ve done that you’ll get an email confirming that you’re in and asking you to join the Private Facebook Group that’s been created just for this challenge.

Why Facebook? I hear you asking. As you all know, I’m not a huge fan of Facebook for business to business stuff. However, for this sort of challenge it’s far and away the best tool to do this job at this stage in my journey. The other advantage is, if like me, you’re not a huge Facebook-er, just doing the Facebook tasks I set will show you another side to this platform that might surprise you.

The Private Facebook Group is also where all the interaction between us takes place.

It allows us to work as a (private) community, which means we can all benefit from each other’s knowledge and experience in a safe and confidential space.

I hope all that makes sense and that you trust me enough to give it all you’ve got.

What makes me think I can help you?

For any of you who don’t know, I’m Scottish and have run a successful “at a distance” marketing and communications business in SW France for the last 17 years. I’ve helped hundreds of UK clients solve the types of problems that are raising their heads right now.

Over the years, I’ve developed tried-and-tested tools and strategies that work. I’ll share those with you and support you to enable change and to help make your business stronger and better.

I have qualifications in Communications and Marketing and am one of very few Hubspot Certified Growth Driven Design Agencies in the world. I’m also Social Media and Inbound Marketing Certified.

So, when you put all those things together, I’ve hopefully got something worthwhile to bring to your business table in these challenging times.

Here’s what some of my clients have to say

When I first talked to Suzie I knew I was dealing with a professional. She’s given me the strategy to help me develop and grow. She’s authentic, trustworthy and open. In short, she’s my “go to” place for support.

Sharon Dehmel MBA
Founder, The Intercultural Coach

Working with Suzie turned my view on its head. Before I was so product focused that I couldn’t see the bigger picture: what would make customers want what I had? Working with her made the penny drop. Thanks Suzie, for opening my eyes to a world of opportunity.

Mark McKinnon
Founder, Dream Big Games Limited

I can’t recommend Suzie highly enough. I’ve run my own business for 10 years and have worked with many different business people. Suzie really stands out. I wish I’d met her earlier in my journey. If you’re thinking of working with her, just get started, you’ll be delighted.

Lorraine Maginnis
Professional Coach

Suzie’s simple yet focused and direct approach meant we quickly defined each buyer group, formulated targeted value propositions and created messages to truly engage my audiences. In addition, we developed a reach out strategy that resulted in me signing my first contract within 48-hours of launch.

Flemming Bo Larsen
Founder and CEO, FB Larsen

The insight Suzie has given me in terms of exactly what I need to convey to my customers and potential customers has been invaluable. She completely changed my perspective in such a positive way that I now feel more confident and ready. I would not be in this position without Suzie’s help, support and expertise.
