Do you go on LinkedIn but rarely do anything on there (even though you'd like to)?
Are you someone who knows you're good, great even, at what you do? Someone who knows you could make useful contacts on LinkedIn, but finds the whole idea of doing anything on there frustrating? Yes? You're not alone.
You go on there. You scroll. You read other people's stuff. You see people talking about what they do, sharing what they know and extending their reach.
You read stuff, but you rarely, if ever put anything on there.
And that's frustrating you, because you know LinkedIn could help you get beyond the people who already know you. It could help you extend your reach. You see other people using it to do just that, and you want to do it too.
But you don't.
Maybe you don't know what to say. Maybe you don't know where to start. Maybe the whole idea of putting yourself 'out there' feels a bit too much like showing off. Or maybe there's a little voice in your head saying, "What'll people think?" or "Will anyone support me if I post?"
If that sounds familiar, I have the solution.
I walk alongside people like you, one step at a time, and help you move from consuming on LinkedIn to contributing - comfortably and confidently. And you can do all that without turning yourself into someone you're not.
The aim isn't to become brilliant at self-promotion or to spend your life creating content. It's to become comfortable and confident enough to show up, contribute and let more people see what you do.
Imagine feeling comfortable and confident on LinkedIn
Imagine going on there and actually knowing what you're there to do. Knowing what you want to say, who you want to connect with and how you want to show up.
Imagine being able to post something without spending three hours wondering whether it's good enough or giving in to impostor syndrome.
Imagine looking at your profile and thinking, "Yep. That tells people what I do."
Imagine seeing something interesting and thinking, "I have something useful to add to this." And then actually adding it.
Imagine making connections beyond the people who already know you, without feeling like you're falsely working a room or having to sell yourself.
That's what my guidance is designed to help you do.
I'll walk alongside you, step by step, helping you build the confidence and comfort you need to show up, contribute and be seen for what you're good at.
Not by turning you into a LinkedIn expert. Not by teaching you how to play the algorithm. And definitely not by asking you to become someone you're not.
Just by helping you find a way of using LinkedIn that feels comfortable, confident and like the authentic you.
How it works
All you need is a desire to get more active on LinkedIn and a LinkedIn account. If you don't have one already you can create one.
On this journey, I'll walk alongside you, one step at a time, helping you get comfortable with the things that make LinkedIn feel awkward, frustrating or just a bit too much for you right now.
We'll start where you are, rather than expecting you to suddenly become a confident poster, networker or self-promoter.
You'll work through a series of simple steps that'll help you:
- Get into the LinkedIn mindset
- Get clear on what you bring to the world and the difference you make
- Get out your LinkedIn stall without stressing about getting it perfect
- Start taking an interest in other people and joining conversations
- Put your own thoughts and experience into the LinkedIn space
- Develop a LinkedIn rhythm that works for you
- Build a sustainable LinkedIn habit without it becoming another job
You don't have to do it all at once. You don't have to become someone else. And you don't have to love LinkedIn.
You just need to be willing to take the next step.
